It is from Lord of the Rings, a poem that refers to Strider/Aragorn:
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.
Sometimes, in hard times like these, we have to feel our way towards what we seek. There's no direct path so it seems that we wander, even though we have a destination in mind. And it's important to keep reminding oneself of that. Sigh!

Oh my gosh! I have one. Thank goodness it isn't a word. Although, I do want one that says Freedom. :-)
If I were to get a tattoo with words as opposed to an image, it would be, "Not all who wander are lost."
Why? What does the phrase mean for you?
